All About me!

Kia ora. My name is Belaben (Bela) Prajapati. I live on the North Shore of Auckland with my husband Dilip, who is a Mechanical engineer. We are extremely fortunate to have two children, Dherya (7) and Savya (4). Since I have made New Zealand my home, I have become wholeheartedly fascinated by the beauty of this country.

My education career began as a high-school teacher in India. When I moved from India to Aotearoa New Zealand, I worked as an ECE educator. I have gained various experiences working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
I am a qualified Kaiako holding Grad. Dip in Teaching (ECE) qualification and currently specializing in Primary.

My teaching and learning philosophy is aligned with Reggio Emilia’s approach and Vygotsky's theory. From my perspective, learning is interwoven through all of the developmental domains, and it is happening all the time. This includes the physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and communicational domains. Therefore, I aim to make this ongoing learning experience safe, positive, and nurturing to the whole child as I strive to guide them into the next stage of learning with confidence in themselves. I also believe in learning to learn as teaching is lifelong learning.

My interests are spending time with family, reading, and walking at the beach. I also love to cook, especially my family's favourite food.

I am looking forward to start my journey at Kingdomcity Childcare whānau.

Ngā mihi.

Thank you.

Bela.
